The 4-H State Ambassador position is one of the highest service opportunities and recognition attainable in the University of California 4-H Youth Development Program.
Who are the California 4-H State Ambassadors?
California 4-H State Ambassadors are California 4-H youth who have excelled in the areas of leadership and community service. State Ambassadors serve in expanded leadership roles to support and represent the University of California 4-H Youth Development Program. See the complete role description (PDF).
What is the application process?
The California State 4-H Office coordinates the selection of candidates. The goal is to ensure a consistent, fair, and equitable process. Applications must be received by the State 4-H Office by the application deadline date.
January 7, 2019 - Completed application and references due to the State 4-H office
February 8, 2019 - Letter of invitation to interview to selected candidates. Letters of regret sent to candidates not being interviewed. All letters will be sent via email to the applicants.
March 16, 2019 - In-person working interview and presentation.
March 29, 2019 - Letter of notification emailed to candidates.
May 18-19, 2019 - In-person 2019-2020 State Ambassador Team Orientation (attendance is required)
