Maker (Entrepreneurship) |
Elmira |
The Maker Project is for Intermediate and Senior Youth that are ALREADY proficient in a Craft type project and who are able to produce saleable items. For example these could include crocheted, fiber arts, woodworking, soapmaking, ceramics or many other possible items. Again- the aim of the project is NOT to teach youth to make these items. Youth will be asked to commit to making at least 10 saleable items and also commit to selling them at 4-H events or craft fairs. Meetings will cover selecting which items are most saleable, offering suggestions to improve salability, pricing, displaying items in appealing and creative ways, marketing and deciding where to sell the items. Members MUST be willing to give and accept feedback and work as a group. |
